A principios de 2018, finalmente le muestro a David los primeros bocetos que hacen referencia a su encargo. Unos 4 o 5 meses antes, me había presentado su proyecto poético, que ligaba un verso de Gertrude Stein, con la pereza y las infinitas discusiones acerca de la verdadera receta de la paella. El resultado sería un plato, decorado con esta ilustración mediante la cual interpreté sus intenciones. Para su realización, utilicé la serigrafía sobre calca cerámica con esmaltes de tercer fuego para crear la base de dibujo en negro, y el color fue aplicado a mano.

At the beginning of 2018, I finally show David the first sketches that refer to his commission. About 4 or 5 months earlier, he showed me his poetic project, which linked a verse by Gertrude Stein, with laziness and endless discussions about the true recipe for paella. The result would be a plate, decorated with this illustration through which I interpreted his intentions. For its realization, I used the silk-screen technique on ceramic decal with third fire enamels to create the drawing base in black, and the colors were applied by hand.
